Zero maze knowledge — this program has never seen the map. The strategy is the famous right-hand rule: keep your right hand on the wall and you WILL find the exit of any normal maze. In robot: every room, first turn right. Wall there? Turn back left and check ahead. Wall too? Check left. Then step exactly one room and do it all again.

Big idea #1: sense → think → do

Watch the diary: sense (wall?), think (which block runs?), do (turn or step). That loop is the heartbeat of every robot ever built — including the ones on Mars.

Big idea #2: re-sensing replaces ELSE

Our language has no ELSE. The trick: after each turn, I 5 senses AGAIN from the new direction. Three little if-blocks in a row check right, then straight, then left — acting exactly like a chain of if/else-ifs. Acting and then re-measuring beats trying to know everything up front.

Big idea #3: it doesn't care about the maze

Switch the maze dropdown to Team Arrangement B, then C, and run the SAME program. It escapes all of them. Your beautiful staircase code from lesson 3 can't do that — and on race day, the rooms get shuffled...

CHALLENGE: find this program's drift budget (lesson 4 style). It tolerates some — but the turns are still stopwatch-guesses, so it's not immune. What sensor would FIX the turns? (Rhymes with “gyro.”)

CHALLENGE: why turn RIGHT first? Edit it to a left-hand rule. Does it still escape all three arrangements? Is it faster or slower on each?
