HC-05 module (the one with a small button): hold the button while switching the robot on, until its light blinks slowly. Then Connect and Rename.
The robot's Bluetooth module gets the robot's name. Every kit module comes called HC-06, so without this a room of robots is a list of identical names.
The kit's HC-06 only takes a new name while nothing is connected to it over Bluetooth, so over the USB cable it is renamed on the spot and confirms (OKsetname). Connected over Bluetooth, the robot saves the name and renames the module when it is next switched on. Phones remember the old name for a while: forget HC-06 in the phone's Bluetooth settings, scan again.
An HC-05 takes commands only in its AT mode: hold its button while the robot is switched on (slow blink). rename.ino finds it (at 38400 or 9600) and renames it; afterwards switch the robot off and on to leave AT mode. Its PIN is 1234, like the HC-06's.
The name also goes in this phone's list of robots, so the Workshop, Sticks and Calibration pages list it.
